solo concert

Voice is the great hostess and guide at the singer’s performances.

There we are invited to enter her “house”, where stories are told as song. And each song always interpreted as if it were the first time.

Each concert unique and soulful, where improvisation plays a fundamental role in the artists magnetism and expression.

collaboration(s) concert

Mariana Root’s versatility allows for different musical universes to merge. There are numerous examples to the case: the collaboration with the “adufeiras de Paúl” (popular music portuguese drummers); with Kabeção, musician known for the art of playing handpan; with guitar players such as Andres Prado from Peru and Liran Paz Kehat from Israel; with the multi-instrumentalist Nacho Rodriguez in concerts devoted to the Water; and also with Ana Root, in a sister duet which combines voice and dance on stage.

As the artist opens new doors of creation with different instruments and musicians, she comes to find new sounds and reaches a wider audience.

sound journey

In these journeys the artist puts at play the wide spectrum of her voice well blended with a grand variety of instruments, such as crystal bowls, guitar, frame drums, the copper xylophone, ronroco (typical cords instrument from Peru), flutes, the ocean drum, to name a few.

This dance and fusion between instruments and voice invite the listener to a deep state of calm, peace and well being.

These journeys are a constant creation, ideal for relaxation and chill out moments, for ceremonies, for introspection.

VOCAL WORKSHOP “SER CANTO"

Music reflects our essence, and it is at everyone’s reach to be able to express oneself through their voice.

These workshops are a space of exploration of all elements that make us singing beings: the breath, the body/movement, the practice of the voice, and the intention, which is the final key which gives life and soul to any song.

The voice as an effective tool in the union of body, mind and spirit is the essence of this work.
